Mary C. Fiumara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 27 years clinical experience. She earned her BSW and a Certificate in Women's Studies from Rutgers University, and her MSS from Bryn Mawr College. She is licensed in both Pennsylvania and California.
Mary has been working with eating disorder clients and their families since 1985 when she was part of the original staff of the Renfrew Center in Philadelphia, PA. She developed and implemented an eating disorders track at KidsPeace Hospital where she supervised a treatment team on an adolescent psychiatric unit. She developed and managed an intensive outpatient program in for childen age 6-19. She has facilitated workshops on eating disorder awareness and prevention at organizations, universities and businesses.
Currently, Mary is a manager at a residential facility that treats the chronically mentally ill. She is on staff and the Chair of the Education Series of EDRS (Eating Disorders Recovery Services).
Mary also has her own private practice in Santa Rosa where she specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and women's issues.
