My Practice
Each person is unique with many beautiful qualities. When clients come
to therapy it is usually at a time of crisis or major life transition.
Their worries, stress and issues are at the forefront. I assist throughout
the sessions to find those uniqueness that are hidden under life's distress.
I love this statement: "Inside the acorn is an oak tree we can't yet
see."
And this quote by Albert Einstein: "Everyone is a genius. But if you
judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life
believing that it is stupid."
I use cognitive behavioral therapy, feminist therapy, dialectical
behavioral therapy, supportive and psychodynamic therapy.
My specialty is in the treatment of eating disorders, but I also
treat dual-diagnosis, substance abuse, PTSD, and self-injurious
behaviors.
I work with Women, Adults, Adolescents, LGBT, Families, Couples and
Groups.
I offer evening and weekend appointment times.
I do not accept insurances, however, I can provide receipts to
obtain out of network reimbursements.
I offer a sliding scale for clients who are financially
challenged.
